BRQ revs increase 57% to US$21.5mn in H106

Brazilian IT supplier and systems integrator BRQ saw a 57% increase in revenues to 46.4mn reais (US$21.5mn) in the first half of 2006 from 29.6mn reais a year ago, boosted by capturing clients in new markets, BRQ said in a statement.

“BRQ won new accounts with three offshore clients and five in Brazil in the first half of 2006,” BRQ’s president Benjamin Quadros said in a statement.

The company registered US$1.4mn in revenues in offshore IT projects in 2005 and expects to increase that figure to US$7mn in 2006. The company’s main export market is the US.

BRQ expects to generate total revenues of 115mn reais by the end of 2006, up 58% compared to 73mn reais in 2005.
